The Almería-based brand dresses Sara Fructuoso at the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards and once again puts Andalusian design in the spotlight on the red carpet
On Tuesday 30 June, Madrid hosted the third edition of the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards, the major event that recognises talent, creativity and excellence in Spanish design. Once again, the red carpet brought together some of the most prominent figures from the worlds of fashion, culture and social media, making it the ultimate showcase for Spanish design.
Among the attendees was content creator Sara Fructuoso, who chose a design by María Barragán for one of the most important nights on the fashion calendar. The influencer wore the Olalla dress, a design that perfectly reflects the brand’s DNA thanks to its balance of romanticism, craftsmanship and sophistication. Featuring a delicate floral lace bodice, a round neckline, jewelled button fastening and a flattering silhouette that flows into a fluid skirt, the design highlights the craftsmanship and attention to detail that characterise the brand.
The look was completed with a vintage set of earrings and a ring from Joyas Antiguas Sardinero, in yellow and white gold set with natural diamonds, and a pair of metallic open-heeled court shoes from Calzados Franjul, adding a contemporary touch to the ensemble.
The brand was also represented by María Cordero, CEO of María Barragán, who opted for the Cosima dress, from the Bleu collection, paired with a vintage 1990s pavé necklace in white gold set with natural diamonds and Portuguese white gold drop earrings set with natural diamonds, both from Joyas Antiguas Sardinero, and white satin open-back court shoes with jewelled detailing from Calzados Franjul.
With her appearance on one of the most prominent red carpets on the national scene, María Barragán continues to consolidate her position within the Spanish designer fashion sector, focusing on designs that combine craftsmanship, elegance and contemporary femininity.
