  • La Cala Resort’s European leg, in Mijas (Málaga), will host the Ladies European Tour Grand Final from 26 to 29 November.
  • The tournament remains committed to Andalusia and the Costa del Sol as the setting for the best in European women’s golf at the end of the season.

The 2026 Andalucía Costa del Sol Spanish Women’s Open presented by Oysho now has a confirmed venue. La Cala Resort, in Mijas (Málaga), will host the tournament, which will once again bring the Ladies European Tour season to a close from 26 to 29 November.

The change of venue, however, maintains a consistent commitment to Andalusia and the Costa del Sol as the tournament’s natural setting, strengthening the link between the Women’s Spanish Open and one of the most renowned destinations in European golf, both for the quality of its courses and its organisational capabilities. In this context, Mijas is establishing itself as one of the key golfing destinations on the Costa del Sol, with a well-established offering and a long-standing tradition linked to the sport.

The championship will be held on the Europa course, one of the three courses designed by Cabell B. Robinson at this renowned resort; a layout that stands out for its strategic nature and for demanding precision on approach shots rather than power off the tee. It is a balanced course, where the tee shot clearly determines the options on each hole, particularly due to the well-defended and undulating greens, with slopes that require a precise reading.

The River Ojen is an integral part of the course and its presence on several holes, combined with the variety of the layout featuring elevated tees and changes of direction, forces the players to be very precise throughout the round, combining holes where they can be aggressive with others where course management will be key. In this regard, the Europa course is shaping up to be a very fair setting for a season finale, where consistency and control of the game often make the difference.

Sean Corte-Real, General Manager of La Cala Resort, said:

“La Cala Resort is proud to host the Andalucía Costa del Sol Spanish Open and to welcome the LET Grand Final to our facilities. This tournament represents the excellence of European women’s golf and fits perfectly with our commitment to offering first-class experiences, both on and off the course.”

Regarding the design, Corte-Real commented: “The Europa course will present a comprehensive challenge for the players, where strategy, precision and decision-making will be crucial. We are convinced that, together with our facilities and the quality of the destination, we will provide the ideal setting for the season finale of an event of this magnitude.”

Widely recognised on the international golf scene, La Cala stands out for the scale and quality of its facilities: three 18-hole championship courses and a 9-hole par-3 Short Course, totalling 63 holes and offering the most comprehensive golf facilities within a single resort in Spain. This is complemented by a comprehensive range of hotels, dining, wellness, real estate and lifestyle offerings.

Thus, the Andalucía Costa del Sol Spanish Open presented by Oysho will once again bring together the best players on the Ladies European Tour as they battle for the title and to end the season on a high note, in a week always marked by the competitive tension typical of a grand finale.

The 2025 edition saw France’s Nastasia Nadaud crowned champion; at the age of 21, she claimed her maiden victory on the European Tour and put on a masterclass over the weekend to become the youngest player ever to win the Open.

With this new venue, the tournament is set to host an edition featuring a course with a very distinct profile, where strategy, precision and course management will make all the difference in the decisive stretch of the European women’s golf season.
