Olivia Valere’s former nightclub has undergone a radical transformation (with a total investment exceeding 15 million euros) to become an incredible venue spanning over 2,150 m², retaining its oriental atmosphere whilst now featuring monumental brutalist lines, where the finest house and electronic music DJs will get night owls dancing – those who know that Bonbonniere is the place to be this summer. An icon like Bonbonniere needed a true temple worthy of the concept. And so, the most special location in Marbella was chosen: the former Palacio de Babilonia, an oriental-inspired enclave which, following its refurbishment, retains its charm whilst exuding the iconic essence of the new brand.

Put your hands up: the masters of electronic music are coming to Bonbonniere
The line-up of DJs set to perform at Bonbonniere brings together some of the most prominent figures on the international electronic music scene. It’s therefore well worth clearing your diary to enjoy live performances by acts such as Agents of Time, the Italian duo who won over the crowd at Tomorrowland Winter; Artbat, who in May 2024 sold out the first major electronic music concert held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium; Carlita, a sensation at festivals such as Coachella and Burning Man thanks to her unique blend of electronic and folk sounds; and Diplo, one of the world’s most influential producers and DJs, both for his solo career and for projects such as LSD, Silk City and Jack Ü.
The line-up will be rounded off by Hugel, an international leading figure in Latin and Afro house; Kaz James, one of the key names on the Australian house scene; Seth Troxler, a regular headliner at leading festivals such as Glastonbury, Movement and Sónar; and Vintage Culture, ranked amongst the world’s most prestigious DJs and responsible for numerous viral hits that have racked up millions of streams. You only need to take a look at this spectacular line-up to see the calibre of the confirmed artists.
The best drinks
The best venue in Marbella simply had to have drinks menus that would make all the difference. As well as the selection of cocktails on offer on the terrace, the various bars have opted for the very best brands of spirits. Tequila (which is hardly surprising, given that the Mandala Group is one of the developers) is one of the venue’s favourite spirits, with a superb selection including Don Julio, Clase Azul, 1800, Dobel and Patrón. There will be no shortage of excellent whiskies, gins, mezcals and rums. And, of course, leading Champagne houses such as Dom Pérignon, Armand de Brignac, Perrier-Jouët and Louis Roederer will be represented.
In an oriental-style palace, there are sensual shishas. And Bonbonniere’s attention to detail is evident even in the blends available to guests. Alongside classic, purer flavours such as lemon, blueberries and mint, there are blends from well-known brands such as Adalya, which brings to Bonbonniere such select tobaccos as its famous ‘Love’ (passion fruit, melon, mint and watermelon), or ‘Mi Amor’ (Blue Horse), a blond tobacco with notes of pineapple, ice and banana, alongside other blends created especially for the venue.
Two nightlife giants join forces
To bring Bonbonniere’s first Spanish venue to life, two true heavyweights of the international nightlife scene have joined forces. On the one hand, Joe Fournier, creator of the Bonbonniere brand, an entrepreneur and boxer who has filled stadiums and boasts an impressive list of contacts, including Usher, Paris Hilton, Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski. On the other side is Mandala Group, Latin America’s leading hospitality group, which is already enjoying success in Spain with Li-Onna, Sala de Despecho, Houdinni and Fenómeno.
