DURÁN, Spain’s longest-established silverware, jewellery and auction house, celebrated its 140th anniversary on Wednesday 10 June with an exclusive dinner at the iconic Mandarin Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid.
The event brought together leading figures from the worlds of politics, culture, cinema and Madrid society to pay tribute to the history, craftsmanship and legacy of all the brands that make up the group. A legacy that cements DURÁN’s position as an undisputed benchmark for luxury and art in our country. Model, actress and presenter Mar Saura hosted the evening and looked back at the evolution of a house that has become a symbol of luxury and art in Spain. In addition to sharing the company’s most significant milestones with those present and DURAN’s senior management.
For the occasion, Mar Saura wore a necklace, earrings, bracelet and rings by Durán Joyeros. These are the brand’s signature pieces, crafted from gold, diamonds and emeralds.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, who was keen not to miss this great opportunity to address the attendees and highlight the work of DURAN as a Madrid-based company with a century-long history. Also in attendance was Miguel Garrido, First Vice-President of the CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations) and President of the Madrid Business Confederation (CEIM).
