JUAN MIGUEL QUIÑONES

Juan Miguel Quiñones, a singular figure in contemporary Spanish sculpture, masterfully combines stone materials and traditional sculptural techniques with a language that blends neo-pop with vernacular roots and neo-romantic tendencies, characteristic of urban art. These approaches lead him to explore appropriationist processes, mimetic simulacra, and conceptual trompe l’oeil. The ultimate aim of these strategies is to reclaim object-based icons as operative, sentimental, and instrumental elements that represent and define the so-called Generation X.

He has held solo exhibitions at Delimbo, Maior, and Reiner’s Contemporary, as well as solo shows at art fairs such as Estampa, Urbanity, Swab, Art Madrid, and LA Art Fair (Los Angeles).

His work is featured in contemporary art collections including the Masaveu Peterson Foundation, Pilar Citoler, SOLO, RuArts, Utopicus Art, and FCDP.
