The iconic venue on Playa Padrón (Estepona), between Marbella and Sotogrande, becomes the setting for the eighth episode of the culinary talent show produced by RTVE in collaboration with Shine Iberia, where the contestants will face a service for 80 diners with the Mediterranean as a backdrop
The eighth episode of MasterChef, which airs tonight on La 1 at 10.50 pm, is set in a truly luxurious location: Laguna Beach, the most spectacular premium leisure centre on the Costa del Sol. It is situated on Playa Padrón (Estepona), between Marbella and Sotogrande, and will serve as a spectacular setting for the eighth episode of MasterChef, in which the contestants, whose skills are improving all the time, will have to rise to the challenges of serving a large crowd.
On this occasion, the ‘MasterChef’ judges will travel to Estepona (Málaga) to fire up the stoves at Sublim, the most famous beach club at the Laguna resort. The beauty of the venue, its authenticity and the passion of the chefs will come together to create unforgettable moments on the programme. Actress Raquel Meroño, winner of ‘MasterChef Celebrity 5’, will be in charge of forming the teams and designing the dishes for a menu based on technique and ingredients, which they will serve to 80 diners, including local personalities and regular customers of the venue.

Sublim Beach, the best beach club on the Costa del Sol
Sublim is an iconic beach club, and one of the few on the Costa del Sol with direct beach access. But it is much more than that: it is an inspiring space, with a unique design that respects and blends into the Mediterranean landscape of Playa Padrón, offering visitors a place to enjoy themselves and discover both the surroundings and their own selves.
To this end, it captivates visitors with a variety of spaces, all vibrant and imbued with a special energy. Take, for example, its infinity pool or its comfortable area featuring sun loungers and Balinese beds, designed to let you enjoy a truly unique day at the beach, complete with all the amenities (towels, showers, lockers and changing rooms) and a full range of leisure activities, music (with a daily line-up of DJs) and entertainment. Sublim, with a capacity for 2,000 people, is the ideal venue for hosting private events that are not only a success but also an unforgettable experience.

As you’ll see on MasterChef, Mediterranean cuisine is inextricably linked to the soul of Sublim, which offers an extensive menu with something for everyone. Foodies will enjoy its selection of oysters, caviar and the finest French champagnes; there are delicious starters (croquettes, Italian salumi and cheeses, gazpacho, etc.) and salads to enjoy in a relaxed and delicious setting. There is also a fine selection of raw and marinated dishes, as well as homemade pinsas, rice and pasta dishes, meats and fresh fish from the fish market. And, from June to September, Sublim’s espeto grill fires up its embers for enthusiasts of the quintessential Malaga flavour. On the drinks front, there is no shortage of cocktails (with non-alcoholic options) and a selection of the finest spirits for toasting.
