Memories has just opened its doors in Madrid in a space that combines gastronomy, design and music.

The former stables of the Palacio de Liria, at Calle de la Princesa 18, have been reborn as Memories, a restaurant that reinterprets the history of the place from a contemporary perspective and imagines a space steeped in history, transforming it into a place where the present and the past meet through cuisine, design and experience.

The creators of Casa Mories and Taberna Sabina have joined forces with interior designer José Arroyo, responsible for some of the most renowned projects in Madrid, Paris and Lisbon, with more than 20 years’ experience in interior design and one of the most important designers on the Madrid scene. The space has been transformed into an elegant and contemporary environment, and in the more private area, the artist Maseda has intervened with a work inspired by the Movida Madrileña, using original posters rescued from the streets of Madrid to create a unique atmosphere with the aim of transforming a space with soul into a meeting point for Madrid nightlife. This artist not only decorates, but also connects with the cultural heritage of the Movida from a contemporary perspective. It is a physical, almost tactile memory that gives context to the experience and fills it with meaning.

Mediterranean cuisine inspired by the essence of Casa Mories.

The Memories menu offers Mediterranean cuisine with European and Asian influences, inspired by the essence of Casa Mories, dishes based on the product and technique, with nods to classics such as steak tartare or salad with scarlet shrimp tartare and caviar. A space that invites you to stay. The result is a short but precise menu, designed to be shared, to surprise and to be remembered. Each dish seeks a balance between the familiar and the unexpected: from the salad with scarlet shrimp tartare and caviar to the Mories-style steak tartare or the double 0 anchovies, treated with the same delicacy as in its sister restaurants. The aim is not complexity, but impact: clean flavours, top-quality produce and elegant execution, without distractions. It is signature cuisine without artifice, in which every recipe has a reason and every bite evokes a story.

Memories is not just a restaurant, it is a place where experiences intertwine with flavours, where every detail, from the lighting to the last bite, is designed to linger in the memory.

A restaurant to linger in

Memories is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 8:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., and is designed as a place to dine, but also to extend the evening. Music and DJ sessions accompany a sophisticated atmosphere that invites you to enjoy a drink after dinner. Its cocktail menu, although not signature, has been carefully selected to accompany and complement the gastronomic offering.

A team with experience and a contemporary vision

Behind Memories is the same team that created Casa Mories, a Madrid restaurant that has stood out on the gastronomic scene for its care for the product and a contemporary offering recognised even in competitions such as the CasJlla-La Mancha EVOO Salad Competition, where they won first prize in the last edition. With Memories, the group is evolving towards a more immersive, nocturnal and sensory concept, without losing the essence of quality cuisine with its own character.
