The real estate firm is opening its first branch on the island and reinforcing its commitment to the Canary Islands, where it already has an office in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Real estate firm GILMAR has opened its first office in Tenerife—located in Costa Adeje—thereby strengthening its presence in the Canary Islands and advancing its growth strategy. This new location is the company’s second in the archipelago, where GILMAR has operated since 2018 with an office in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The new office is situated at Avenida de Bruselas 18, on the corner of Calle Helsinki—a highly visible location in Costa Adeje. The fully renovated premises feature a modern, light-filled space and large display windows facing both streets.
The opening reflects the significant role Tenerife—and particularly the south of the island—has come to play in the real estate market, as well as the growth potential GILMAR sees in the area. “We conducted preliminary market research, and it is clear to us that this will be a key office within GILMAR’s structure,” noted Jesús Gil Marín, the company’s CEO and co-founder, at the inauguration.
GILMAR’s establishment in Tenerife will also drive job creation and generate economic activity linked to the real estate sector. The company expects to have around 20 professionals working directly at the Costa Adeje office, in addition to the indirect employment associated with each transaction. “We will have about 20 people working in this office, and I hope it proves significant for both the island and us,” explained Gil Marín, highlighting the impact real estate activity has on numerous sectors of the local economy. “More than 100 professionals are involved in a single real estate transaction,” he noted, referring to the participation of legal experts, notaries, registrars, construction and renovation firms, and other service providers associated with each deal. An Inauguration Attended by Institutional and Business Representatives
The inauguration of GILMAR Costa Adeje took place on October 1st, bringing together institutional and business representatives, clients, collaborators, and friends of the company.
Attendees included Manuel Luis Méndez, Councilor for the Presidency and Urban Planning for the Adeje Town Council; Jesús Gil Marín and Manuel Marrón, CEOs and co-founders of GILMAR; along with their local partners, other senior company executives, and the professional team from the new Costa Adeje office.
The event began with a blessing of the premises performed by Father José Francisco Santana Jiménez, of the Santa Úrsula Parish in Adeje.
Next, the official ceremony took place, hosted by Esther Gómez, a presenter for Televisión Canaria. Speakers included Mónica Murariu, Director of GILMAR Costa Adeje; Juan Carlos Sánchez Montoro, GILMAR’s Regional Delegate for the Canary Islands; Manuel Luis Méndez, Councilor for the Presidency and Urban Planning for the Adeje Town Council; and Jesús Gil Marín, CEO and co-founder of GILMAR.
During her remarks, Mónica Murariu highlighted the enthusiasm with which the new team is embarking on this chapter in Tenerife. “Our entire team is approaching this new phase with great excitement and a strong desire to get to work. We have been preparing for this opening for some time, and finally opening GILMAR’s doors in Tenerife is very special for us,” she noted. “We want to build a long-term project here, grow alongside the island, and ensure that this office quickly becomes a benchmark for anyone looking to buy, sell, or invest in Tenerife.”
Manuel Luis Méndez welcomed GILMAR to Adeje and conveyed the Town Council’s support for the company in this new venture, emphasizing the importance of new businesses establishing themselves and their contribution to the municipality’s economic development.
The official ceremony concluded with a ribbon-cutting and the official inauguration photo.
Afterwards, attendees had the opportunity to tour the new facilities and enjoy a cocktail reception accompanied by a DJ.
