TINO Stone & Surface celebrated its 45th anniversary this afternoon at its Puerto Banús showroom. The gathering brought together nearly 500 people—including notable figures, architects, interior designers, builders, developers, clients, and collaborators—who have supported the company over the past four decades.
Rather than simply looking back at the past, the company used the event to showcase its transformation. To mark the anniversary, it unveiled the comprehensive renovation of its Macael factory, a new digital tool for professionals, and four new materials. It also highlighted its operational model as a technical partner for surfacing solutions, emphasizing customized options and expert support at every stage of a project.
From Macael to Marbella: A Vision Ahead of Its Time
The story of TINO Stone & Surface begins in Macael (Almería)—one of Europe’s cradles of natural stone—where marble is an integral part of the region’s identity. It was there that Antonio Valdés—the company’s founder and the first generation of the family—learned the trade. He later brought the business to Marbella, recognizing that the high-end residential architecture emerging in the city required materials capable of adding real value to every project.
Since then, the company has evolved from artisanal material processing to bespoke technical solutions, with a presence in landmark projects worldwide. These include the Madrid Mosque, the Triana Tower in Seville, the Bulgari Hotel in London, and the Great Mosque of Algiers, as well as projects in Miami, the Dominican Republic, China, the Middle East, and Morocco.

Future-ready technology and human capital
A key pillar of this transformation is the comprehensive renovation of the Macael factory, which is scheduled to launch in the coming months. The project incorporates advanced technology machinery designed to enhance production capacity and process precision while optimizing energy efficiency.
This industrial transformation is accompanied by the evolution of the team, combining seasoned professionals with new technical talent to strengthen the company’s expertise, responsiveness, and generational continuity.
“We are living through a time of transformation, and we are fully committed to it. We believe that innovation isn’t about changing who we are, but rather evolving without losing our essence. The new factory, the new digital tool, and the talent joining the team are our way of repaying the trust placed in us over the past 45 years,” noted Antonio Valdés Carrillo, a second-generation member of the family business.
Innovation in natural stone cladding and customizable ultra-compact surfaces
As part of the anniversary celebrations, TINO Stone & Surface is also launching a new digital tool on its website for architecture and interior design professionals. This solution allows users to browse materials and technical resources, utilizing them to visualize and define projects from the very early stages.
The tool addresses a unique characteristic of natural stone: every block is unique, featuring its own distinct veining, tones, and dimensions. The goal is to provide specifiers with useful information about the material and to bridge the gap between design intent and technical execution.
The celebration also serves to showcase new additions to the company’s catalog: Rojo Lepanto, Silver Root, Calacatta Viola, and Onix Esmeralda. These materials are part of a portfolio that combines natural stone, technical solutions, and customizable ultra-compact surfaces to meet the specific needs of every project. TINO positions itself as more than just a material supplier; acting as a technical partner for surfacing solutions, it supports architects, interior designers, builders, and developers from the initial selection and definition of the solution through to its final execution.

Growing from our roots with a global vision
With a 45-year track record, TINO Stone & Surface is embarking on a new phase aimed at consolidating its international growth and strengthening its market position in high-end natural stone and customizable ultra-compact surfaces. The company seeks to bring the expertise gained over four decades to increasingly demanding architecture and interior design projects, combining materials, technology, design, and technical capability.
“Our goal for the coming years is to continue growing internationally and establish TINO as a global benchmark in the high-end natural stone sector. We possess the expertise, technical capacity, and a 45-year history, but we also have a tremendous drive to keep evolving. We want to grow while staying true to the qualities that have brought us this far: our deep understanding of the material, excellence in every project, and our collaborative approach with architects, interior designers, and clients,” states Salvador González, CEO of TINO Stone & Surface.
