Fenómeno is a gathering place where cuisine and music come together
Fenómeno is not just a hi-fi bar but a meeting place where gastronomy and music come together. Located at 13 Recoletos Street in the Salamanca neighborhood in a 400-square-meter space, Fenómeno introduces a culture still rare in Madrid: that of the hi-fi bar, where sound matters just as much as what’s served at the table.
Fenómeno opens its doors as a space where music ceases to be background noise and becomes the center of everything. Vinyl records, high-fidelity sound, signature mixology, and an atmosphere designed for listening make this new hi-fi bar an experience where the true luxury is the time shared around a song.
With a philosophy inspired by Japanese jazz kissa—spaces where people gathered to listen to music with the attention and devotion befitting a temple, at a time when music arriving in Japan from abroad was exceptional and restricted—Fenómeno presents its most contemporary take on leisure and gastronomy.
Drink, eat, and linger in an immersive space
The space is designed as a journey: a DJ booth, displayed vinyl records, curated art, and distinct areas that set different rhythms throughout the night. Long bars, high tables, and counter spaces designed for comfortable standing reinforce a clear vision: that the space doesn’t push people away, but invites them to stay.
The cocktail menu, developed in-house, is built around various types of phenomena—natural, luminous, or human—resulting in combinations ranging from fresher, lighter profiles to deeper, more structured ones. Cocktails like Destello, Núcleo, Origen, Pulso, and Clorofila not only complement the experience but are part of the space’s narrative.

At the same time, the culinary offering follows the same logic: a concise, recognizable menu designed for sharing. Classics like Iberian pork cracklings, patatas bravas, and surf-and-turf croquettes coexist with dishes such as steak tartare with egg yolk shavings, bluefin tuna toast with creamy avocado, or the beef burger with truffle béarnaise. Added to this are staples like mac and cheese, indulgences such as caviar, and sweet finishes like the tres leches chocolate French toast or the “Pink Panther” cheesecake.
