A wedding lasts one day. But everything that happens around it —the people you share it with, the encounters, the emotions and the memories— can become part of a story that carries on long afterwards. That is the idea behind “Somos lo que recordamos”, the gathering El Jaral de la Mira will host on 4 October, which aims to bring together those who are already part of its story and those who are still thinking of joining it. Because El Jaral de la Mira does not want to be merely the place where a wedding is held. It wants to build a community around weddings: a community of couples, families and friends that begins before the big day, stays with them throughout the celebration and continues afterwards.
Leading this project are Rafael, Juan Diego and Mario Sandoval, the third generation of a family devoted to hospitality and restaurants, who have turned gastronomy, hospitality, creativity and care for every detail into their own distinctive way of understanding celebrations. It is this same philosophy that they bring to El Jaral de la Mira: creating experiences that do not end when the event is over, but live on in the memory.
A community that begins before the wedding
For couples who are still looking for where to celebrate their big day, 4 October will be an opportunity to discover El Jaral de la Mira in a different way: not as a venue to visit, but as a community to start becoming part of. Guests will be able to explore the grounds in full celebration mode, sit down at the table, discover the Sandoval brothers’ culinary offering spread across different food stations, enjoy the music and see first-hand the work that goes on behind every gathering. Above all, they will be able to imagine what it would be like to share there not only their wedding, but all the moments surrounding it: those lived with family and friends before, during and after. Gastronomy will take centre stage under Mario Sandoval; Rafael Sandoval will be in charge of the drinks, and Juan Diego Sandoval will help create the atmosphere that accompanies the whole experience. The project thus reflects the joint work of the three brothers and a shared philosophy built on legacy, innovation, produce, sustainability and service excellence.
The wedding as a meeting point
A wedding is, above all, a gathering of people. That is why the El Jaral de la Mira experience is not understood solely from the couple’s perspective, but from that of the entire circle around them. Family, friends and the team are all part of those memories, and they are the ones who turn a celebration into a shared story. The aim is for El Jaral de la Mira to become that place to return to, to meet again and to keep celebrating together. In this way, the relationship with the venue need not end when the wedding does. The big day is one moment within a much longer story.

“Somos lo que recordamos” is also conceived especially for those who have already celebrated their wedding at El Jaral de la Mira. For them, returning on 4 October will be a chance to go back to the setting of one of the most important days of their lives, this time with no protocol and no responsibilities. They can come with their partners, family or friends and once again enjoy the food, the music and the atmosphere. It will be a way of seeing that a place that is already part of their story can go on creating new memories. On 4 October, past and future will meet at El Jaral de la Mira: those still imagining their wedding will discover the community they can become part of; those who have already celebrated theirs will be able to return and keep building memories.
