Thai Gallery, a Marbella staple loved by locals and visitors alike, was awarded the Thai SELECT 2-Star recognition.
This acknowledgement is an official certification system by the Royal Thai Government’s Ministry of Commerce that grades certified Thai restaurants based on authenticity, ingredients, ambiance, hygiene, and chef expertise.
26 years in the making, Thai Gallery has been Marbella’s go-to Thai restaurant since 2000. From the start, it’s stayed true to its core and focused on high-level craft, with yearly improvements across the board in quality, service, and overall experience.

In a journey focused on taking Thai cuisine to a higher level and elevating the perception of Thai food, flavors, and ingredients, Thai Gallery Marbella is now getting officially recognized by Thailand.
Thai SELECT is a mark of certification awarded by the Ministry of Commerce, the Royal Thai Government, to guarantee the authentic taste of Thai food and restaurants in Thailand and overseas. The 2 Star level is awarded to “excellent quality Thai restaurants that offer a beautiful and memorable atmosphere and experience, as well as provide professional service and creative dishes with distinctive character – making for a truly unique and unforgettable meal”
While the restaurant (and eventually, the recognition) is assessed by a rigorous and random inspection, the award ceremony was celebrated this past Wednesday, 9th of September. Honored by the presence of Mr. Cheewin Na Thalang, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, and his wife, Ms. Supamas Yunyasit, Minister (Commercial) in Madrid; Captain Yutthanawee Mungthanya, Thai Naval Attaché in Madrid, and his wife; and the legendary Muay Thai fighter “Buakaw”.
Qualified by the Ambassador and the Minister as “one of the most impressive Thai restaurants in Spain, excelling in atmosphere, food quality, and service.”, the evening sought to congratulate and highlight the efforts of both the front-of-house and behind-the-scenes team for “sharing authentic, flavorful Thai cuisine with consumers worldwide” and representing Thailand. Buakaw, who had flown in directly from Thailand, noted the meal was “nothing short of genuine, and truly impressive”
Thai Gallery continues to welcome customers looking for authentic cuisine and outstanding flavor, now proudly donning their well-deserved 2 Stars.
Crowd favorites like their delicious Red Curry Duck, holy basil stir-fry Pad Kaprow, and famous Mango Sticky Rice keep wowing customers and turning them into returning regulars, who look to enjoy the stylish ambiance at both the wonderful garden and the intimate interior.
The doors are open to the public every night from 7 pm to 11:30 pm, in front of the NOBU Hotel entrance at the Puente Romano Resort, for you to experience Marbella’s most recent award-winning Thai restaurant.
