ALEJANDRO HERMANN
Van Gogh
Those who know me know how much the simple contact with others enriches me, how sharing positive ideas makes me happy and the freedom to create for others opens my mind… and I miss it already!
I take the difficult period we are all going through as a call to greater introspection, a need to recognize the truths that I continue to paint every day.
In the meantime, to continue to bring you the peace, beauty and contemplation that only Art is capable of giving, I feel the deep need to share with you the history of Art that each of my paintings tells and which is also my history. This is the humblest way I have found for my work as an artist to survive and for everything I create to continue to live through you and thanks to you.
WHEN DISTANCE SEPARATES US, ART UNITES US.
VAN GOGH, oil, mixed media on canvas, 213×214 cm, work not available.
Van Gogh, a Dutch post-impressionist painter (1853-1890), left us a legacy of unparalleled creative strength and courage. This painting and its title is a tribute to this strength and courage that I have sought to convey in the energetic construction and automatic layout of this portrait. The conviction and security that each brushstroke forced me to have reminds me of how much mastery and respect for our inner world allows us to create harmony and balance.
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND ALL OF US
