ELM - Marbella Design 2026 Awards

We present the list of winners in the various categories at the eighth edition of the Marbella Design & Art Fair 2026, which concluded on Sunday 29 March at the Marbella Conference Centre. The jury announced the winners during an event held on Sunday evening at the ME Marbella Hotel.

The awards ceremony took place at the ME Marbella Hotel, where guests were treated to a performance by the designer Zara Saberi, an Iranian fashion artist. The jury was made up of architect Fran Silvestre, founder of Fran Silvestre Arquitectos and renowned for his minimalist and light-filled architecture; Isabel Margalejo, one of the most influential voices in the promotion of design in Spain; Jacobo Higuera Mata, partner at HCP Architecture & Engineering with extensive experience in international projects; and Ignacio Merino Rivero, CEO of Flow81 with a focus on the integration of architecture and the environment, the jury assessed the entries based on criteria such as creativity, innovation, aesthetic quality and sustainability.

PRODUCT DESIGN AWARD

First prize went to Iraida Maeso for her textile craftwork at Silvia Trigueros’ Nexo space.

Second prize was awarded to the Aistec acoustic panel. Amber transforms discarded materials into unique pieces of sculptural design, elevating them to the status of collectable objects. All her creations are designed and made in her workshop in Chiclana, Cádiz.

TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AWARD

First prize went to “Sosega” by Paralela Taller Creativo, which features a lamp created using 3D printing by Layered Ceramics Studio, exploring new possibilities at the intersection of design and technology.

Second prize was awarded to Drop by Huëst, which combines technology, craftsmanship and a variety of materials. Its focus on research and design aims to create innovative solutions with an emotional connection.

  • 2nd PRIZE: DROP BY HUËST

PRIZE FOR BEST USE OF LIGHT AND COLOUR

First prize went to Helena Rocha’s Miele space, a project that embraces a serene and timeless aesthetic, where natural materials, lighting and technology coexist in perfect harmony.

Second prize went to José Arroyo’s “Rose”, a sensory space in which light, colour and textiles combine to create an intimate and immersive experience.

AWARD FOR THE MOST ECO-FRIENDLY AND SUSTAINABLE SPACE

First prize went to Amber Craft & Design, whilst second prize was awarded to “The Architecture of Climate” by Airzone, designed by Studio Nina Dubarry – a space that explores climate control as a design tool for well-being, combining technology, natural materials and vegetation in a concept that evolves from the technical towards the organic.

AWARD FOR THE SPACE WITH THE MOST PUBLIC VOTES

The public has voted Alejandro Cateto’s “Cateto Club” as their favourite venue, a concept that reinterprets the aesthetic of the Costa del Sol in the 1960s through a world of curves, colour and references to the Mediterranean imagination.

AWARD FOR BEST PROJECT

First prize went to “Sand Stone by Technogym” by Inhabit, a space that offers a new way of understanding domestic wellbeing, integrating exercise, family life and design within an environment inspired by movement, nutrition and mental calm.

The second prize went to “Proyecto M_01 by Ramos y Cobos” by Studio Vanesa Casas, which reinterprets traditional Japanese architecture as an experimental exhibition space, inspired by In Praise of Shadows.
