MARBELLA CLUB 70 ANNIVERSARY
Celebrates 70 years the revolution of an Icon
2024 becomes a pivotal year for the iconic Marbella Club, celebrating 70 years as one of the most special and magical spots in our country. What started as a small and simple motel founded by the Hohenlohe family invites guests and locals to experience its history, celebrate together, and learn about the new expansion plans that will shape the future experience for the new generation of clients.
70 YEARS OF HISTORY WITH A VIEW TO THE FUTURE
Marbella Club was born from the charm of a man who fell in love with the endless sunsets by the sea. Prince Alfonso of Hohenlohe paved the way for thousands of families from around the world, celebrities, artists, and musicians to enjoy their vacations with the best beach picnics, famous “burradas,” or traditional themed parties that no one wanted to miss.
Alongside his cousin Count Rudi von Schönburg, Alfonso turned Marbella Club into an iconic spot: a dream hotel surrounded by botanical gardens with over 300 plant varieties, a Beach Club to enjoy the best cuisine by the sea, and the Mediterranean as a way of life. This year will be filled with events and celebrations throughout the hotel, and as a novelty, at Finca Ana María, a new property connected to the resort with an area of 50,000 square meters and incomparable views of the Mediterranean Sea and La Concha mountain. The estate, former home of the von Bismarck family, will serve as a place to enjoy wellness in various formats while final expansion plans are completed.
The estate project will last five years, with the main goal being to preserve the original Marbella Club gardens and build a new natural ecosystem in collaboration with the prestigious French institution Deyrolle and its creator, Louis Albert de Broglie.
From a garden housing over 100 varieties of heirloom tomatoes to a natural acacia maze, an astronomical and bird-watching observatory, or glamping experiences, Finca Ana María becomes an inspiring and educational space that celebrates freedom and the values leading the resort’s new era. The vision for the 70th anniversary celebrations has been carefully led by its owner, Jennica Arazi, always honoring the past and tradition but projecting a gaze towards the future, marking the start of a new era at the resort.
“This 70th anniversary is a turning point for Marbella Club; we have a unique opportunity to continue the true luxury of the hotel – a natural ecosystem to enjoy small pleasures in connection with nature,” says Arazi.

70th BIRTHDAY
WEEKEND OF MARBELLA CLUB
Guests, celebrities, businesspeople, and authorities did not want to miss the special 70th-anniversary program that paid tribute to its legacy.
On April 26th, became a very special date for Marbella Club, as it marked the kickoff of a weekend full of surprises to celebrate the 70 years of the iconic hotel on the Marbella coast.
The weekend began in El Patio with an afternoon event where guests could see the latest collections from the resort’s boutiques: Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Rianna + Nina, and Bottega Veneta. Additionally, the opening of Assouline was celebrated, joining the Marbella Club family with its new corner located in the resort’s patio. In this new space, the publisher presented its latest release titled “MARBELLA SOL,” an ode dedicated to the Golden City of the Costa del Sol, where the author, Nicholas Foulkes, was seen signing and dedicating the book.
After the Assouline presentation, the Clubhouse restaurants welcomed diners with a menu that took them on a journey through the senses to the past. After dinner, Rudi’s warmly welcomed guests and invitees with its signature cocktails and live music, a party that undoubtedly became the best start to the weekend.
The night did not leave anyone indifferent with an after-party at Rudi’s, where great friends of Marbella Club were seen dancing until dawn. The most anticipated moment – the arrival of the cake, which was cut by Jennica Arazi, co-owner of Marbella Club, along with employees and guests.
The weekend closed with “Tapas & Tablao,” an impressive flamenco party where the classic Marbella group Tablao Ana María entertained the attendees.
