What was your professional background before METT Marbella Estepona?

Before joining METT, I had an extensive professional career, always focused on luxury hotels that are committed to providing their guests with high standards of service and quality. My previous experience, mainly in Food & Beverage, has come in very useful for managing the METT Marbella-Estepona project.

When did you become the General Manager of Mett?

My professional adventure with METT began in February 2022, six months before its inauguration. Since then, it has been a very enriching journey in which we have achieved a lot, both professionally and personally. This has been possible thanks to an exceptional team of people who always give their best. Working with them has been a rewarding experience that has allowed us to grow and succeed together on this exciting project.

What does the General Director of a hotel do?

The General Manager is the hotel’s brand ambassador and host. On a daily basis, we carry out a variety of tasks, but our main mission is to create and guide our team in developing a positioning strategy for the hotel at all levels that is fruitful and sustainable over time. In addition, the General Manager is responsible for creating a healthy working environment where each member of the team can develop their full potential and actively contribute to the hotel’s growth.

How do you keep your team motivated?

I have always enjoyed working as part of a team, and I do my best to provide my team with all the tools they need, including an environment where they can make their own decisions to bring out the best in themselves, and allowing them to reach their full potential with good internal communication.

What would you highlight about the hotel?

Some of the aspects I would definitely highlight are the variety of dining options and the personalized service we offer our guests, as well as the stunning sea views from our suites with private pools and gardens.

What is your favorite place in the hotel?

My favourite place is El Bar de Lola. In the heart of the hotel, surrounded by organic and sustainable greenery decor, with the horizon of the azure pool meeting the Mediterranean in the background.
